CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN

While at London I went to the Christian Louboutin exhibition at the Design Museum. 


It really was amazing to see all his creations and designs. Some of his quotes were very inspirational and after viewing his beautiful designs I now have lots of new ideas. 

DEGREE SHOW AND NEW DESIGNERS 2012.

The degree show turned out very well. It was very hectic putting the show together, but once it was set up the presentation and the quality of the work was brilliant. I had so much interest in my work and lots of positive comments. 

New Designers 2012 was a brilliant week. A very long week however it was a great opportunity to get your work seen by hundreds of people.


The best part of the week was that I got invited back by New Designers for next year 'one year on' I am over the moon about it and it has given me so much drive to get my workshop up and running so I can get start making.

Final mood boards. These show power, confidence and bold colours. These have helped me to make my final pieces have bold characters and a sexy combination of textures and patterns. 

New design ink drawings. Fresh clean lines followed closely by shadows given depth and smooth curves. 

Professional Photographer

Last week I had profesional photographer Martin Avery take a range of photographs of my new current work which is for my degree show in June. (Really not that far away now.) The outcomes are very inpressive and I'm extremely pleased with how well they have turned out.

He quoted that my work was very challenging to photograph because there are no solid lines and the curves gave a lot of shadow.

However the photograph's are really amazing.

exciting transfers

These pieces are for my final show.

 The transfers have really worked well; it's the first time I've used them to this scale and they have completely transformed the pieces. I have had to do the transfers before sending them off to be flocked, which will be in bright, bold colours. These are currently upside down; the transfers will actually be on the base.

These pieces are very feminine, curvacious and fashionable.

This idea was inspired by Irregular Choice shoes because they are very feminine, need daring to wear them and the colours make you smile.

 Everyone who sees my pieces says they make them want to smile.

Final project.

Final project is going well, these are photos of my samples back from the flocking company. very excited seeing the results. so pleased with how they have turned out.
